The Flight
So I pretty much heard it all..
“Oh get ready, it’s SO rough and I always have to take medicine to get me through it.”
“Take off is so scary, it feels ten times worse than a rollercoaster.”
“I get claustrophobic easily, so I don’t know how you are.. but you may get that way too.”
“The airport is so confusing.. good luck with that!”
So being that this was my first time flying, I was a little nervous hearing all of the opinions and experiences from other people.. but I ended up loving it! (And no, I didn’t get lost in the airport) My sis-n-laws sister was on the same flight, so we ended up getting seats next to each other.. a huge win for me because even though I knew I was going to be fine, it still gave me assurance that someone was there with me if I freaked out. So, between listening to music I had downloaded, watching the Georgia game…GO DAWGS, and eating those really good cookies, the flight was great! And a lot of videos were documented.. 🙂 I had an aisle seat, so I didn’t get to see much out the window flying in to NY, but coming home I had a window seat and nobody sat next to me, which was a huge plus because I totally used the empty seat to prop my legs on. But the views were uhhmazing!! And I know that for some people it was their millionth flight, or they were on a business trip.. so they were probably like okay girl quit taking selfie pics in your seat. But it made me super excited to be able to experience all of this for the first time. Like duh I’m gonna be freaking out.
I snapped this pic as we were taking off to head home!
The Room
Big windows that showed the skyline, comfy beds, and a doorman. Hello, can I stay here forever? But no seriously this place was so nice! Right in the heart of Manhattan, it was super convenient to all the touristy things we had on our list. And even though we were on the 32nd floor, I could STILL hear car horns and sirens at night, haha! Overall we were spoiled with how nice it was! (The views at night were crazy cool!)
The Site Seeing
We hit all the major touristy spots, and I obviously took a ton of pictures, so here’s a bunch for you guys to see!! This is a list of everything we went to — (Hopefully I didn’t forget anything)
- Times Square
- The Library
- The View – Marriott Marquis
- Macy’s
- Bryant Park
- St. Patricks Cathedral
- Rockefeller Plaza
- Central Park
- M&M’s World
- Tiffany & Co.
- Empire State Building
- Trump Tower
- Grand Central Terminal
- 9/11 Memorial Museum
- Broadway Show

The Food
I’m glad we walked a lot while we were there because lord I ate so much good food! Yummy Italian, a hotdog from a stand (I just had to), cheesecake, pizza, breakfast from cute bakery’s, coffee and more coffee… everything I had was amazing! I obviously didn’t snap pics of every single meal that I had, but I did take a few..

Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better trip and experience!! I am so grateful that my sister-in-law invited me and that I was able to go. I had a lot of “firsts” on the trip too, so it’s always something I’m going to remember. So if you are looking for your next trip, New York needs to be on ya list!!
Also, I’m aware that it’s been way over a month since I got back and it took forever to finally write this.. I was just trying to make sure I had all the details right and you know…life happens. 🙂
much love guys!
