As much as I would love to say that I go to the beach to eat seafood, the truth is…I absolutely hate it. That’s the whole point of going out to eat while you’re on vacation, right? You can get seafood in Georgia, but it’s just not the same as having it fresh from the beach! I’ve tried seafood many times…different kinds, flavors, and the way its cooked, but none of it has impressed my taste buds. Call me weird, but I’m the girl that orders chicken fingers or a hamburger! Ha!
A few people in our crew were dying to have some raw oysters, so we decided to hit up the famous Dusty’s Oyster Bar! I had never been, so I was pretty excited to check out the atmosphere (obviously not to eat the Oysters). Talk about raining dollar bills…this place was COVERED with money!! The walls. The ceiling. It was everywhere! I was blown away. You’ve heard people say that the “hole-in-the-wall” places are always the best…well this definitely makes that statement true. From the outside it looks like a little shack, but on the inside it has some bomb food!
I ended up ordering the nachos and they were delish! The others got shrimp baskets and dozens of oysters. (Literally dozens) But everyone really enjoyed their food! They tried to get me to eat an oyster but that was absolutely not going to happen. I could barely stomach to look at them!
And before we left we just had to sign a dollar bill and add it to the wall in hopes to maybe find it next year when we go back!
So if you ever go to Panama City Beach, Florida I highly recommend this place! The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. I would also advise to go as early as possible, we didn’t have to wait very long but I’m sure it can get crowded since it is so popular! We enjoyed it so much that the guys actually went back for lunch a few days later!
What restaurants do you guys recommend in Panama? I would love to have some ideas for the next time we go!!
XOXO
