Wake Up & Makeup

Helllloooo to all the lovely ladies out there!

So a lot of you asked me about my makeup– specifically, what are my favorite products for my everyday look. I use to not be big into makeup, but I think the more I learned about the steps and the products I was using it really benefited me to care more about it! I do buy certain items name brand because that’s what I have found works best for me, and then there are some things that I can buy at the drugstore that I don’t necessarily have to have name brand. My face isn’t caked-up every single day, but I do work at a salon so having my face all made up is a must for me. And just a heads up, most of these items you can get at Sephora or Ulta! And this is pretty much everything I use on a daily basis, (minus a few items).. So, hereeee we goooo!

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation
  • Elf Illuminating Face Primer
  • Makeup Forever Full Coverage Concealer

I’ve been wearing this foundation for a little over a year now and I love it!! I wasn’t sure how I felt at first when the girl told me it was a clay-based foundation, and I honestly had never heard of that before.. so I was like well let me just try it out. Well, its amazing! It’s light on your face, and doesn’t crease in any fine lines or wrinkles, and it has a 12 hour coverage. My concealer, to hide the fact that I’m always tired, is really really good. It’s a little pricey, but worth it because I’ve been using this little tube for ever! It has a matte finish, waterproof and oil-free! For a face primer I have been using the Elf brand. It’s the illuminating one, nothing special. I’ve gotten my makeup done many times for things and the makeup artist all seem to use it too!

  • Tarteist PRO Glow Highlight & Contour Palette-

This is a top fave for highlighting! I like that it’s powder based so there are no harsh lines, and you don’t have to worry about a lot of blending! It’s also long-lasting, and gentle on the skin. (Sometimes I can still see a hint of it after my workouts!) What I like about it, is that I can make it as natural or dramatic as I want to. I don’t really use the contour part of it (bottom left corner)- it’s a cream and I like powder best on me (The bottom right corner was powder and it’s already gone because I liked it so much!)

  • FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna-

Okay, so this is also a favorite for highlighting! It’s Rihanna’s new beauty line and I absolutely love it! It comes in this cool little roll-up stick, and it’s not that bad of a price for how long it will last you. It comes in 10 different shades, and the one I have is called “Starstruck Iced Out Pearl.” It’s pretty natural, but definitely more pigmented and dramatic than the Tarte powder!

  • Lorac Matte Lipstick
  • Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick
  • FENTY Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Luminizer

My best friend gave me the Lorac lipsticks for Christmas and I really like them! There were 6 tubes in the kit and I have worn every color! I hate it when you get a pack of something and you only end up using one or two of the items. They are a matte finish and they stay on very well! The other I like to use is the Stila All Day Liquid. It is very similar to a stain and it stays on all day. I can put it on in the morning, and after eating and drinking it’s still there! And then some days I just want a gloss with hardly any color, so that’s when I use the FENTY Beauty Gloss tube. It has a hint of a rose-gold color with a really shiny & glossy finish! I sometimes even put on a matte lipstick and then put a little bit of this over it and it looks so good!

  • Crown Makeup Brushes

So well all know that brushes can get REALLY expensive.. luckily for me, being a hairdresser I get access to certain beauty products that aren’t just sold anywhere which is pretty cool! I actually got these brushes at the place where I buy my hair color from and they are AMAZING! The pricing is so reasonable too. I think the most I’ve paid for one was $18!! And the quality is fantastic! They don’t shed and they are easy to clean. The brand is Crown, and I’m sure you could order them off Amazon maybe.. Like I said, I got these at a place where you have to have a Cosmetology license, but I’m sure you could do your research and find them at other places. I’ve just never seen them at Ulta or Sephora!

  • Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Pallet (And primer)
  • Too Faced Lash Extension
  • Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner

So I’ve used a couple different eyeshadow pallets before, and this is by far one of my favorites.. the Lorac Pro. I do like Urban Decay’s Naked pallets as well. My main concern when I’m choosing a pallet is the neutral color selection. I don’t wear a lot of funky colors, so purchasing one with a lot of neutrals is the goal! The Lorac Pro has a few matte colors, as well as shimmer colors. They are also very pigmented.. about one or two strokes with my brush is plenty enough! So even though pallets are pricey, if you invest in one it will last you longer than if you went and bought something that wasn’t as pigmented! The pallet comes with an eyeshadow primer too, and I have learned that it is a MUST! I use to think that it was a waste but let me tell you, it’s not! I sweat my butt off at CrossFit and my eyeshadow is STILL THERE. So it is worth the extra few seconds it takes to apply it! Another one of my favorite products is my eyeliner, by Maybelline. I have been using this eyeliner for almost six years now, and if it ever were to be discontinued I think I would die! I use the Unstoppable brand, and I fully understand why it has that name because it is for sure the best I have ever tried!! If it’s still there after I ugly-cry then I can assure you its a keeper! Last but not least, the Too Faced Lash Extension Fibers work really good! I just curl my lashes and then apply it before I put my mascara on. All it really does is make them fuller and longer. It has become part of my everyday makeup routine for sure!

So that pretty much covers my favorite products I use on a daily basis! My mascara usually comes from the drugstore, and I even have a few blushes that aren’t high end brands. Bronzers are another thing that I don’t necessarily have to have the best of the best, depending on the time of year I am using it!

Makeup isn’t cheap, and sometimes you can find cheaper products that work just as good, so it’s whatever works for you and your budget!

In The Open

Every year, thousands of athletes around the world get to test their fitness abilities by signing up for “The Open.” So, what is it?

*Please note, that some of the links below are affiliate links, meaning I have partnered up with an amazing company to talk about products that I use and love, and will recieve compensation. If you do decide to use these links, thank you so much for your support & happy reading!*

The Open is the first step in getting to the Reebok CrossFit Games. And for some, that’s the goal. Some people train all year-long to see their names at the top of the leaderboard. And when it’s all said and done, they want to be named “The Fittest On Earth.”

But for others, it means gathering at your box on Thursday nights, and crowding around the big screen to hear the crazy Dave Castro announce the next deadly workout that’s more than likely going to kill us all. It means cheering on other members until they get that one last rep, or that ring muscle up that they could never get. It means bloody hands, and dripping sweat. Re-do’s so that we can improve our scores, and excitement when we are happy with the first time. Some of us aren’t trying to be the Fittest On Earth. Some of us do The Open because we have personal goals that we want to reach, and we like the challenges and comradery that it brings.

I was scrolling on Facebook the other day and I came across a few videos that people had shared of other athletes performing some of the Open workouts. Do you know what all those videos had in common? All of the people in them had a disability or missing limbs.. And I even saw one where the girl was blind. BLIND, y’all…. And every single one of those videos made me stop and think, what is my excuse??? Do I really have a legit excuse as to why I can’t make an attempt, or try harder? No, I don’t. And you don’t either. I hear so many people complain about all the reasons why they can’t do something, more than the reasons as to why they can. And after watching those videos, you best believe the next time I feel like giving up during a workout, that I’m going to remember how blessed I am to be able to have a body that allows me to do what I like, because some people don’t have that. Some people WISH they had the ability to workout. So just remember that the next time you start having doubts about yourself.

So, going into week 4 of The CrossFit Open, we are headed towards the end.. so PUSH HARD!! We have 2 weeks to go! And if you didn’t sign up this year, I highly encourage you to sign up next year. Maybe you sat out this year because it seemed intimidating or because you didn’t think you could do it. Or maybe you didn’t want to because you felt like you couldn’t do RX? Well, there is a scaled version, and people at my box have been KILLING IT scaled. I’m talking absolutely crushing these workouts, and even getting PR’s too! There is something for everyone in The Open, so next time it rolls around give it a shot!

Good luck to ALL athletes around the world, and may the wods be ever in your favor.

Goodbye Twenty-Seventeen

For some, the New Year indicates the turning of a page… a chance for them to start over and have a clean slate. Maybe the year had a lot of difficulties and hardships that you are looking to put in the past. Or maybe you felt like you didn’t accomplish any goals in those 12 months. For me, New Years resolutions aren’t that big of a deal. I don’t think we should rely on a new year to make changes in our lives. However, I do get excited for what’s to come! It’s always fun to sit back and think about what new things I’ll experience, the places I’ll visit, & people I will meet. It’s like a breath of fresh air.

2017 was a pretty good year though.

It had accomplishments. Goals. New friends. Opportunities. Set backs. Laughter. Tears. And it taught me so much about my marriage, and what I wanted in life. I’ve learned to be more patient and live my life on God’s time rather than mine. Being human, we tend to get selfish. We want what we want and we want it right then. But sometimes God says “No, not right now.” So I’ve learned to enjoy the wait. I’m a planner. I like structure, and organization. But I’ve learned that you can’t plan your life out the way you want it to be, because it never ends up happening that way. I had so many situations this past year where I had to step back and say “God, this one’s all you”… Great things happen when you set aside the worry and let your faith take over.

One of my favorite memories/accomplishments from 2017 was starting this blog. I was so nervous to put myself out there. Afraid that people wouldn’t take me seriously, or read my posts and be like “yeah yeah whatever”.. Some people might.. and that’s okay. Making a difference is what I want out of this. Saying something that might change someones life. Give advice through real life experiences. Talk about things that might be scary to others. It also holds me accountable. Why write about something if you aren’t doing it? I’ve had a lot of positive feed back since I’ve started, and I enjoy it more than anything. The number of followers I have doesn’t matter. Instagram likes are just a number. Now don’t get me wrong, I love seeing my blog grow, but it’s not everything. Writing, and posting pictures about the things I am passionate about just makes me really happy! So a HUGE thank you to all of my peeps out there who take the time to view my posts! It means more to me than you know.

So, I want everyone to have an AMAZING 2018.

Do the things you love. Try something new. Read a good book. Go on a trip. Love always. Trust in God. Make new friends. Take chances. Hang out with your family. Get a planner.  De-clutter your closet. Get organized. If you are the kind of person to make resolutions, then make them. If you think they are a waste, then at least set some goals for yourself. Big or small! Make this year a great one!

Let’s do this!

24 Things I’ve Learned About Life

Besides Christmas, I think your birthday (as selfish as this may sound) is one of the best days out of the year! Think about it.. there is only ONE of you. Just one! So that means for one full day you get to celebrate when you made your grand entrance into this world. But to me, birthdays go a little bit deeper than that. Every year our birthday rolls around, that’s one more year that God has allowed us to live. Another year that we have made it through all the ups and downs that life throws our way. Some people don’t get to see their next birthday. They are a blessing.

So since today is my 24th birthday, here are 24 things I have learned about life so far!

one. DON’T TAKE LIFE SO SERIOUSLY- Adulting gets old real quick. Paying bills, taxes, insurance.. blah blah blah. Why can’t we go back to being a kid already, right?! But don’t let it overwhelm you. It’s okay to throw your hands in the air and have an adult tantrum. But this stuff doesn’t have to rule our lives. Take a step back, a deep breath & ENJOY this life!

two. TRAVEL- As cliche as that sounds, it really does give you a different perspective on life. There are still a lot of places I would like to visit, and I hope that I get to. So if you if you have the time and money, DO IT!

three. TAKE A LOT OF PICTURES- I love getting out the photo albums at family gatherings and laughing at all the chubby baby pictures, and seeing the awkward clothes I wore in middle school. Pictures let you relive memories. So take them!! Any kind. Family pics, selfies, pictures of your dogs & kids, vacations… SNAP AWAY!

four. FIND A HOBBY OUTSIDE OF YOUR CAREER- Some people consider their career a hobby, and that’s awesome if you can say that! Maybe your hobby lets you make some side money.. or maybe it’s something you get to do with friends..? For me, I enjoy taking pictures with my camera, blogging & fitness. Those things allow me to be in my own little world where I’m happy. So find passion in things other than your work life!

five. SAVE UP FOR THINGS YOU WANT-  It is SO rewarding saving up for something and being able to pay for it up-front rather than reaching for a credit card and putting yourself in debt. I’m not saying you have to pay cash for a house or your next car, but there are certain things you can definitely take the time to save up for! After all, you end up paying so much money towards interest in the long run. I’ll pass!

six. HAVING A FEW CLOSE FRIENDS IS EVERYTHING- I am a family girl. And I have friends that I consider family. They mean the absolute world to me. So find those people in your life and keep them close.

seven. TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF- This is so important. As much as I love my husband, and the people around me.. sometimes you need a break. Make some coffee and start a new book.. binge watch your favorite TV show.. splurge on a new outfit.. Take time for YOU. Especially in this hustle and bustle life we are living in.

eight. THE GRASS ISN’T ALWAYS GREENER- Yes Yes Yes! I still have to tell myself this from time to time. Worrying about what other people are doing is just going to make you miserable. So what your friend has a job that makes him loads of money.. he might secretly hate that job and never get to see his family. We mess good things up by looking for something better. Be content!

nine. DON’T RUSH THINGS- Trust me, this one is hard to swallow. We are all at different places in our lives. Some of my friends are married with kids, and then some of them aren’t even dating. So do things when you are ready. Not when society tells you that you are ready. Be patient, and let God lead your life.

ten. START YOUR OWN TRADITIONS- Moving out of your parents house means new beginnings. So start some new traditions with your husband, family or friends. It will make you look forward to gatherings and the holidays!

eleven. LISTEN TO MUSIC MORE- I don’t know what it is, but music seems to make everything better. Sad? Music. Happy? Music. Excited? Music. The answer is music.

twelve. EXERCISE & EAT WELL- This one is no surprise! You’ll be healthier.. physically and mentally. You’ve got one body- treat it right!

thirteen. WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS- No matter if you are a NFL player, a county singer, or Instagram famous.. we are all still human. I can assure you that Carrie Underwood does laundry and takes naps just like we do. Their lives aren’t automatically amazing because they are famous, or have a lot of money.

fourteen. THERE ARE STILL GOOD PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD- Watching the news these days you’d roll your eyes at this statement.. but there are still people who will go out of their way to make a difference. Be one of those people if you get the chance.

fifteen. A GIRLS NIGHT CAN FIX ANYTHING- Okay, maybe not anything.. but popping a bottle of wine and chatting it up with your bestie can make your crummy situation a whole lot better.

sixteen. SAVE FOR RETIREMENT NOW- Don’t wait until you’re a few years out from retiring and then realize you’re probably going to have to work ’til you die because you only saved $100 to live on. Be smart with your money!

seventeen. IT’S OKAY TO SAY NO- Sometimes you don’t want to go out with your friends. You’d rather put your PJ’s on, watch Netflix & beat your husband in Scrabble. Those are the kind of nights you will remember. Cherish them.

eighteen. GET A PLANNER- My life is so much more put together when I have a planner. I would be lost without it. It is so helpful when you’ve got a million things going on! (And when you buy nice, colorful pens, it makes you want to write even more, ha!)

nineteen. PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN AT THE TABLE- I’m guilty of this from time to time, but having a meaningful conversation with the people you are eating with is much more valuable than how many likes your bikini picture got on Instagram. Just put it away.

twenty. SHOP LOCAL- Support your hometowns and buy from the cute boutiques and ice cream shops. You aren’t just helping pay their rent, but you are also giving the owners little girl ballet lessons.

twenty-one. TRUE LOVE DOES EXIST- No explanation needed.

twenty-two. VALUE YOUR PARENTS WISDOM AND ADVICE- Remember that one time you thought you knew everything? Yeah, me too! Your parents have been there done that. They aren’t as dumb as you think. Listen to them.

twenty-three. YOU GET WHAT YOU WORK FOR- Don’t expect to win a ball game if you haven’t practiced.. And don’t expect to have a million dollars if you sit at home all day with no job. Life is going to keep moving whether you are on board or not. So work hard for your goals and dreams!

twenty-four. LET GOD LEAD YOU- He knows what is best for you, and he will never let you down. Always stay true to him & live your life in HIS timing!

I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love me, and I can’t wait to see what 24 has in store for me!

All The Food

Hey hey hey!

So I recently (Okay not recently, like forever ago it seems like because my life has been so crazy) asked you guys what you’d like to see on the blog next and I got a lot of feedback about what my diet is, and what I eat on a daily basis…  So…what do I eat?

So let me start off by saying, there are certain things that I just simply DON’T BUY. If it’s in my pantry then nine times out of ten, me or my husband are going to eat it. That’s why I save myself the temptation and just don’t buy it. I’ve stood in the Oreo’s aisle at the grocery store and said to myself…”Okay, I will only eat a few of these every day, so it’s okay if I get some.. they aren’t THAT bad for you..” Basically trying to talk myself into buying some..

WHO AM I KIDDING. I would eat the whole box in two days!!!

So, I’ve just stopped buying things that I know we shouldn’t be eating. The same thing goes for certain restaurants. I know where I can and can’t make healthy decisions, so I try my best to avoid places that only have crap on their menu. Now, I’ve said all that to say this… I am NOT a nutritionist, nor do I write this post saying this is what you should and shouldn’t eat. I am simply writing about what has worked for me, and maybe give you some new ideas!

About a year ago I was counting my Macros. In a nutshell, (because once again, I am not a nutritionist) Macro is short for Macronutrients. We all need nutrients so our body has energy, and to help with our metabolism. There are 3 main parts to Macros.. Proteins, Carbs, and Fats. There was an app that I used to help me track mine, called.. My Macros. It was a very easy and helpful app that basically tracks what you eat. Everyones goals and body types are different, so it can vary per person. You will be asked a few questions about yourself, and then depending on what your goal is for your weight, it tells you how many proteins, carbs & fats you should have a day. This way of eating helped me the most when I wanted to get toned! I had amazing results with it! So if you want to learn more about Macros visit some websites and do your research about it. There’s a “diet” plan out there for everyone, this one just happened to work best for me!

(On a side note, I really don’t like using the word “diet”.. to me, it’s habit.)

Right now I’m not doing Macros, I’m just basically trying to eat as clean as I can, and avoiding a lot of bread, sugar & watching how much alcohol I drink.

HAULT. Let me stop right there and say something real quick. I AM NOT PERFECT. And I don’t want anyone to think I eat clean 100% of the time. You don’t have to be extreme with everything, just consistent. I like to have a few glasses of wine some nights.. chips and salsa are my go to.. I love Krispy Kreme.. and fries are life. Now, I’m not encouraging bad eating habits or skipping out on your workouts either, but doing those things don’t make you a terrible person.. it makes you human. I crave bad food just as much as anyone else does. BUT, the more you slip on those things, the easier it gets… and sometimes it’s hard to get back to where you were.

However, we are coming up on an exciting time at CrossFit… THE BODY FAT TEST TANK! It’s a hydrostatic (water) test and it’s the most accurate method for calculating lean muscle mass and body fat. We do this about twice a year, and it’s a lot of fun! Everyone gets to take a dunk in the tank and find out your body fat percentage, where you are at compared to other athletes, and what you need to do in order to reach whatever goal you have for yourself. The test prints out all your information on paper so you get to see everything you need know about your body. This test (in my opinion) is better than stepping on the evil scale in your bathroom. It goes way deeper than just telling you what you weigh, because we all know that muscle weighs more than fat. It’s very interesting to participate in this, even if you are happy with where you are at.. But let’s be honest, what fun is that? We all should be bettering ourselves in some kind of way and setting goals we want to reach! So after doing the test we all decide on a meal plan that fits our goals and we eat accordingly. Our workouts are a little more challenging, and we push ourselves to new levels. The coolest part is when the Body Fat Test Tank returns after so many weeks and we get to find out our results on what we achieved! That will be coming up pretty soon, so stay tuned for a post about that because this girl has major goals she wants to crushhh!

Okay, so back to the food… I am a hairstylist. I don’t get a “lunch break”… I get a “whenever-I-can-stuff-my-face-in-five-minutes break”… which kind of sucks considering I like my body to be on a schedule with my meals. Eating lunch at 3:00 sometimes really throws me off balance. So with that being said, breakfast is an important part of my day! If I have a good breakfast, then I’m less likely to hear my stomach by noon. I use to not be a huge breakfast eater.. And I know that some people that’s hard for them if they have to get up really early for work.

  • Eggs (2, or sometimes 3) *If I’m doing good on time, sometimes I’ll make an omelet and fill it with veggies!*
  • BACON BACON BACON (It’s my favorite)
  • Fresh Fruit (Pineapple, kiwi, and any kind of berries is what I like most!)
  • Greek Yogurt with granola and Strawberries (I love the dark chocolate granola!)
  • Granola Bars with Almond Butter
  • Oatmeal
  • Protein/Fruit Smoothie
  • Bananas
  • Hardboiled Egg
  • Apple & Peanut Butter

I like to combine a lot of these foods.. I don’t just eat one thing! I am also a new lover of coffee. Crazy! I honestly have never been a big fan of it until here recently. I would drink it every now and then, but it wasn’t something that was too repetitive. But I’m starting to enjoy drinking it more! A little bit of creamer and no sugar is the way I like it. I’ve been going to CrossFit to the 6:30am class a lot more lately, so I always have my coffee and breakfast when I get home after my workout.. which works out good because I can’t eat that early anyways!

Moving on to LUNCH now- So I’m at the salon 5 days a week and like I mentioned earlier, I don’t get a lunch break. I basically just eat in between clients when I can. Devon and I cook dinner most days of the week so a lot of times I will bring leftovers and eat. If we don’t have any leftovers, then I eat out. (Still making healthy choices- Moe’s burrito bowl is my fave!) However, some things I don’t like to re-heat.. chicken breast…eww! In my opinion it’s only good the first time! But chances are, if we cook something healthy for dinner then I will get to eat healthy for lunch too! It’s a win-win situation!!

So I’ve also been asked about meal prepping…

I’m just going to be honest. It’s a little aggravating, and I don’t like to eat the same thing over and over again. Plain and simple. All the cooking and prepping doesn’t bother me.. it just gets old. It’s only me and Devon eating dinner every night, so we always have food that I can bring to work and eat. And luckily, he loves to cook. He is my grill master! I am pretty spoiled because we grill out at least 3 or 4 times a week. He really enjoys doing it and I’m so glad because if he depended on me to do it…well…it would be burnt or half-cooked. I’m not a fan of seafood and neither is he, so we don’t ever cook any kind of fish. And if you know me, you know I LOVE LOVE LOVE mexican food, so we always have Tacos at some point.. and then we have spaghetti and salads another night. We are pretty good about switching it up and having different meals!

  • Meats (Cooked on the grill, baked, or in the skillet)
    • Hamburger Steak
    • Porkchops
    • Steak
    • Chicken Tenders
    • Ground Beef (Lean)
    • Chicken Breast
    • Fajitas
  • Sides
    • Spinach salads
    • Green Beans
    • Asparagus
    • Sweet Potatoes
    • Steamed Broccoli
    • Zucchini in the skillet
    • Corn on the Cob
    • Black Beans
    • Rice
    • Okra

So, to wrap things up.. you’ve heard people say that abs are made in the kitchen.. well, it’s the truth. Don’t treat your body like a garbage can. I saw an awesome quote the other day- “Eating clean is a form of self-respect.” How true is that! Our bodies can’t thrive off of processed foods & sugar. It thrives off nutrients. And quit worrying about what the scale says. Your HEALTH is what matters.. NOT your weight. Instead of asking “How do I look?” ask yourself “How do I feel?” We all want to look good, but how we feel is just as important. Don’t beat yourself up if you have to miss a workout, or you get a craving for something sweet.. We have all been there. But if you want to make a change bad enough you’ll work for it! BABY STEPS!! Nobody wakes up with a six pack.

We only get one body, and it’s our job to take care of it!

You got this!- XOXO

But first, Tea!

This past weekend has been full of wedding festivities because my little brother got married on Saturday! I can’t believe he’s a husband now- so crazy! But the wedding was beautiful and the weather was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for them!

So I wanted to write about my day on Friday. I was invited to a bridal luncheon for my new sis-in-law, and it was at the Madison Tea Room and Garden. I had never been there before and it was the cutest place EVER! Downtown Madison is gorgeous in general- cute shops, yummy restaurants.. but the thing that I love most.. the old historic houses that line the streets! The old brick, the picket fences..
they are so beautiful!

Anyways, the luncheon was a total success- The inside is basically set up like a tea party. It reminded me of being a little girl and playing tea party with my dolls! I brought my nice camera so I just had to snap some pics! We started off by having some punch.. fruity and pink! (no alcohol) Very tasty!!

We then sat around these fancy tables and talked about the wedding while we sipped our hot tea. I felt so sophisticated needless to say! The food was also really really good!! Chicken salad, fruit, scones, little desserts.. YUM!

So, if you ever need a place for a girls day, or a venue to have an event party, I highly recommend the Madison Tea Room
and Garden. It won’t disappoint!!

Until next time my loves,

Catch Me @ Krog

Hello frans!

So, over the Labor Day weekend me and Devon went to Atlanta with some friends! We started off the day by hitting up The Buffalo Exchange.. which is this awesome thrift store that my friend Taylor told me about (and I’m so glad she did because I can’t wait to go back)! I’m talking Free People, Topshop, Calvin Klein, Adidas, Nike.. you name it, they have it! So it’s not your typical thrift store. It’s basically gently used high-end clothes!

Then we hit up Ponce City Market for some more shopping. (Okay, let’s be real.. I only wanted to go to Lululemon) And I ended up getting some new leggings and a sports bra and I can’t wait to wear them to CrossFit!

So now we get to my favorite part of the day- Krog Street Tunnel

< Krog Street Tunnel is a tunnel known for it’s street art >

I have always thought graffiti was pretty awesome. I don’t see how people create such remarkable artwork with a can of spray paint. I mean, I can barely draw a stick figure. But as we walked through the tunnel looking at all of the writing and pictures, I was blown away by some of the inspirational quotes that I saw.. So of course I had to snap some pics-

So go check it out if you are ever around that area. And take a lot of pics! These people are seriously so talented that it’s insane!!

Do something creative today my loves, XOXO
